Been awhile and same sorry ass story, been busy and blah blah. Speaking of busy, my former associates and good friends over at the VICE Headquarters in the beautiful city of Stockholm have been busy as well. They’ve just produced a series called ‘Close Ups’. In these episodes they’re getting a closer look into the interesting lives of talented people. Sounds corny, or? Well, It’s not. My man Ivar who’s doing the interviews is one of the most casual people i’ve ever met and due to his persona, he can get some truly hilarious and interesting shit out of these people.
Check this! We just came out with a special collabo package together with BEN G, by far our favorite skate shop in heart of Amsterdam. This started out last January as i was visiting the beautiful city and i met up with an amped Bennie Komala. We went skating, drinking beers and were talking about what not. After the nice dialogs we had, we came up with a thought of doing something together. After awhile of swapping some crazy ideas around this project, Bennie sent me a mail with the whole kit. And boy, i was hit by surprise. He took the inspiration from their pride, the local football club Ajax Amsterdam! In 1995 they won the Champions Leagues and pretty much everyones favorite Ajax player was of course top scorer Jari Litmanen who happens to be from Finland. To put a story short, this is a tribute to Jari and his golden years.

Thanks a million Bennie for making this possible. And got to be super sorry that i didn’t get this up and running until now. I’m a homo sapien with only 2 hands and seems like a half of brain and all three have been on an overload. Sorry ass excuse and we should have Litmanen kick my ass for that.
But it came out cool even though. The collabo boards with Amsterdamskis Finest, Ben G just landed to our office and our man Mikey from Artprint sent this extra treat. This is meant to be the top graphic, like only one of them logos, but it’s all about that wall paper weirdness.
We’ll have the rest of the collabo kit in soon enough and we’ll do a proper post about it. Still missing 2 items. It’ll be sick aka WEIRD & WONDERFUL!

One of them was this Hardcore mosh night with pretty tight line up. The guitarist of Eye For All rocked our Scum Jacket. Yo, check this. CTRL Fall 09 just sailed in to our office. Our boy Sam The Sailor Man popped a couple of brews, drank them shot gun style and put his sleeves to work. 20 mins later we’re surrounded by 140 boxes of gear. Luckily we’re moving in to a new office with top secret location kinda free mason type of thing…
Kostaja aka the Scare Crow is out having two nice rides at the same time while my ass is nailed on the office chair. Luckily it has some wheels as well.. Anyways, go check Mikkos skating from summer 2008. After a long time of swapping ideas with the truly energetic fellow, Mr. Bennie Komala from Amsterdams finest skateshop, BEN G, we finally have our little project slowly seeing some daylight. This is only a sneak preview for the full kit that’ll be dropping out soonish sooner soon soon son. We’re paying homage to a true professional.. Secret gathering, secret project, secrets.. nah, ain’t no secret in it. mah just playin around…
Recently we had a visit from our friend Victor, a nice chap from Madrid that moved to Stockholm in quest for the pale and aristocratic blondes that the city is known for. So, theses Swedes never seem to come over to Finland, except for Knotan who is a true Helsinki pioneer. Well, Victor is a friend of Knotan and he came over with the classical Booze Cruise to the much anticipated Flow Festival. Victor writes stories to a couple of very nice magazines, one is the Spanish NEO 2 and the other is a Japanese Mag called SHIFT. Our journalist friend was on a quest to nail some footage of the Handsome Furs, a super good band that you definitely should check out that goes by the name of Joensuu 1685, oh, and the ever shining bourgeois boys from CTRL.
