There’s been a lot of stuff happening here lately and a lot of people passing by our office. Or actually slept over at our office. I wish we could have a CTRL bed & breakfast thing going on, but i’m afraid that it’s more of a ‘couch, no shower and yeah, i have client coming in at 10 in the morning so would be nice if you could take a hike before we get in’ type of thing. Perhaps we’ll get into the hotel business soon enough.. Would be great.

Anyways, one of the most colorful (our man t-boner took the pics in black and white so it wouldn’t be too overwhelming for sore eyes) persons we’ve lately had over is our buddy Chris.

Chris has been busy filming for some upcoming videos, mostly in Berlin where he flew back to from Helsinki, after a good and relaxed week or so. Oh, ALMOST forgot to mention. This bohemian didn’t stay the whole trip in Europe. He actually flew back for a beat down at the Berrics by Satans Little Helper.

Anyways, Chris, buddy, was good having you over and next time over at your mansion or some other corner in the world. Hopefully soon..

Get that Face in CONTROL. We had a visit from our old friends, the Handsome Furs during the weekend. They were playing a gig at Flow Festival and it fucking rocked! Best H.F gig ever! Snap, out of the blue i was feeling well hypnotized and saw all of a sudden three times Nasty a.k.a the charming dude with the black arm.

By the way, we did the tee without him knowing about it. We thought he’d get mad pissed of at first. But no. Mr NAsty is a man of mystery and he enjoys the appeal given by this little funny move from us.

SWEET AS BUTT-ERRR!

It was a rainy morning, woke up and headed for a shower. All was good until i noted that the water is flooding over the plumbs, on to the bathroom floor, through the door and all over my shoes in my hall. Took out like 20 t-shirts and all my newly cleaned bedroom sheets and hoped that they’d suck the water up. After half an hour of running around naked trying to dry up the water and finally getting it done i felt stressed. What a morning..

But then it got better. Mr Postman came by and dropped a couple of nice packages from our man Juri Loginov from Familia Skateshop. He sent us sweet t-shirts and a couple of amazing posters done by Todd Bartrud.

I thought this would be a good post for today as it is a nice and hot summer day in Helsinki. Arto Saari skating in the CONTROL video ‘TEENS’ from -98, just seconds before he blew up world widely. This dude never doubted what he wanted in life and he got what he aimed for. Arto has always been the best proof for me about the fact that if you want to go somewhere in life and focus on it, you’ll eventually get there.. After epic slams and heaps of hard work that is… And yeah, balls the size of an blue whale..

That’s styles for miles! I still occasionally pass by some of the spots in the video and i’m just thinking that damn, these spots haven’t seen that level of skating since. True warrior!

Looks like we’ll be putting our noses in some Japanese magazines this weekend. Our homies from Osaka sent us a huuuuge bunch of Ollie Magazines, LUSSW Magazines, Samurai Magazines, Joker Magazines,, Mens Fudge Magazines and other goodies. Along with all of this came also the White Fuctory Collaboration T-Shirt and one of the finest Karaoke Songs we’ve heard, ‘On My Beat’ by BOOWY. Especially if Yoshi is singing it.

We also had an ad in the Brazilian Issue Of VICE Magazine in Japan in collaboration with White Fuctory. We didn’t even have to do the art work aka Japanese Magic!
