AS SUOMI AS CAN BE

At the end of the road, near the lake and in between nothing but trees trees trees. That’s where you get when you visit the Vuorelman Kutomo factory.
It’s the oldest knitting factory in Finland still active. They produce traditional fabrics and sew traditional outfits that finns have used for ages for different purposes. The costumes are called ”Kansallispuku”(National costume). They’re the kind of wearing that I didn’t want to wear in any case when I was a kid. They were only for those wieners who wanted to take part to the boyscouts and who played strawpipes and harmonica in the forests and were dancing stupid looking group dances in family meetings. In short: they had nothing to do with skateboarding or teenage angst or Fugazi or anything cool. But that was yeeears ago and now it’s 2014 and we’re proud to announce that CTRL has started a collaboration production with those guys. No joke.
Why?
Because this is as Suomi as you can get.
It means UNIVERSAL LOVE.
You will learn more soon.
